Last month I read „Dark Rise“ by C.S. Pacat and I have to tell you about it!
At first I choose the Audiobook for different reasons.
One if them is because my favorite narrator, Christian Coulson, was the narrator, the other one is it was easier to get the book on time.
So what can I say about the book?
It was amazing!
The whole world that C.S. Pacat created feels so real and great!
I like the idea that there is another world next to ours where magic still exists.
The protagonists looked real and their actions were understandable
I really like Violet from the first second but also Will.
You got a lot of plot twists that you don’t see, sometimes you have an idea what happened next and yeah sometimes it happens but you are surprised again and again.
You have action, life and friendship in this book, but also the fundamental question who am I and who do I want to be, does my family define who I am?
There is also a bit of romance in the book, but not that much, I assume that this could change in the other volumes. The ending was also amazing and I really can’t wait for volume 2!
One more thing about the narrator Christian Coulson.
Again I am thrilled with his way of telling things!
He has a way of telling things so well that you have the feeling of being there live, of seeing them pictorially in front of your eyes.
I’m still excited and happy to have finally found a narrator who can do that!
So if you’re looking for a good fantasy book in which you can find everything, magic, action, love, friendship, a great atmosphere, interesting protagonists and a different world, then go and read or listen to „Dark Rise“ from C.S. Pacat.
